Facebook temporarily suspends page of vocal anti-leftist: Political scientist Dr. Carol Swain tweeted July 4, “Once you ask questions or appeal an action they retaliate by imposing additional new restrictions. The same happened with @Twitter. You are not told of the offense & appeals are never won.” Swain included a screenshot of an email from Facebook’s Help Center, that said vaguely, “your page has violated our rules and policies. As a result, we have temporarily restricted your page’s functionality for 48 hours to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of our platform.” Besides the temporary “limited access,” the email screenshot stated that failure to submit a prompt appeal could “result in a permanent suspension of your page.”
