TikTok permanently bans Tim Pool's Timcast IRL account for unexplained reasons: Tim Pool, a podcaster who commentates on political and cultural news, posted short clips of his podcast on TikTok, including some clips of an interview with the controversial figure, Alex Jones. Jones, who was known for peddling conspiracy theories on his show Infowars, was banned from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and the Apple App Store in 2018. Pool said in a YouTube video explaining the incident that TikTok removed Pool's videos that featured Jones but, according to Pool, the platform restored the content after an appeal. He said that TikTok shortly thereafter "permanently banned" his account for unknown reasons but he appears to correlate the ban with the videos featuring Jones.
