Steven Crowder
Case #
911

Conservative comedian, political commentator and creator of LouderwithCrowder.com, Steven Crowder, received a notification from Facebook that his page was at risk of being deleted because of "repeated sharing of clickbait." Courtney Kirchoff, Louder with Crowder's editor-at-large, said Facebook flagged a post of an article from Louder with Crowder as clickbait, which examined NBC's report on how Sweden is handling the coronavirus. The Louder with Crowder article claimed NBC was "surprised" by the results since businesses have remained open and mask wearing is optional, yet the virus has had a minimal impact there. In the second article posted to Crowder's page and contested by Facebook as false news, LouderwithCrowder.com wrote about a woman demanding cops do something about all the Trump supporters at Walter Reed Hospital. "The reason to click is to see how the cops reacted to her. Plenty of context given." Kirchoff wrote, explaining that clickbait would have been something closer to "You HAVE to SEE This Insane Liberal Meltdown!" Since Steven Crowder's page has three notifications about "Community Standards violations" Facebook says he is at risk from being de-platformed.
