X community adds a context note to user's post: An X (formerly Twitter) user posted "Does anyone know who done this? [horrified face emoji]" The post included a video of the first World Trade Center building burning when the second plane hit the second tower. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Op is spreading conspiracies while formulating the post as a question to avoid getting a community note. Osama Bin Laden took credit for 9/11 attacks. youtube.com/watch?v=MiIU3Z… The US government confirmed that Islamic terrorists are responsible for 9/11 attacks. Israel had nothing to do with it. govinfo.library.unt.edu/911/report/911…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
