Twitter censors user for tweet about race and crime: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of their censorship notice. They had tweeted "Did you know that 1/3 of American black men have at least one felony conviction? Does that absolutely wild stat help you understand why it's justified to be more cautious around black men?" Twitter claimed this violated its "rules against hateful conduct." The user's account was locked until they deleted the tweet. The user cited a report found on the National Institute of Health's web site when he tweeted about the censorship which stated that "By 2010, one-third (33 %) of adult African-American males had a felony conviction versus approximately 13 % of all adult males." The user also claimed their account was restricted for one week but this could not be verified.
