Facebook censors photo of boys in bathing suits: A Twitter user shared screenshots of her Facebook censorship notices. The user had shared a photo of her son and nephew, aged approximately 6-9, wearing bathing suits with no shirts. One boy of a hispanic descent was wearing a necklace and had barely visible curl of hair at his shoulder. The other boy had clearly visible shoulder-length hair. However, both were clearly boys. The Facebook notice claimed the image violated its standards on "nudity and sexuality." The user's account was suspended for three days, and she appealed. The appeal was denied, and her account was then suspended for 30 days, as well as her group activity being restricted. If Facebook had allowed a human to review the image rather than clearly relying on its faulty AI algorithm, the appeal would have been approved, as this image clearly does not violate any standards.
