LBRY is a YouTube alternative that has been suspended from the Google Play Store. YouTube's parent company, Google, withdrew the mobile app's ability to be downloaded because of an image from a short comedic film, which contained no explicit nudity, that apparently violated its “Sexual Content and Profanity” policy. After the ban LBRY pointed out that the controversial film Cuties, which many believe sexualizes minors, is still available via the Netflix app on the Google Play Store – while LBRY has been suspended for showcasing this comedic scene in a single video uploaded by a user.
