X community adds a context note to Laura Loomer's post: Political activist Laura Loomer posted "BIDEN’S FAILURE GETS 3 US SOLDIERS KILLED IN JORDAN It’s now being reported that U.S. forces didn’t detect the Iranian-made drone that killed three US soldiers last week because there WAS NO AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM ON SITE. Why was there no air defense system? This is an abomination." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. While there are no large air defense systems @ Tower 22, the base does have counter-drone systems, such as Coyote drone interceptors. The low flying attack drone was misidentified-at the time a US drone was returning to T22 and thus no effort was made to intercept it. Source: apnews.com/article/f17596…." The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
