Twitter suspends Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams (R) for allegedly impersonating himself: Courier Journal state government reporter Joe Sonka tweeted Jan. 28 that Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams (R) informed him that his personal Twitter account had been suspended. According to Sonka, ".@KYSecState Michael Adams tells me his non-governmental Twitter account (@adams4secstate) had been suspended because Twitter thinks he is impersonating [checks motes] Michael Adams. Honestly, how dare he." Adams responded to Sonka's tweet with a humorous quip at the censorship through his government account: "That guy is some hopeless 2019 SOS candidate. In unrelated news, since this suspension my poll numbers have improved." Adams attached a snapshot which showed Twitter informing Adams that his personal account was suspended for "violating our rules against impersonation." Adams then requested that Twitter remove the supsension in a follow-up tweet: "Btw @TwitterSupport, even though I’m a Republican, can we please get this fixed?"
