Joe Biden

Twitter community adds a context note to a Joe Biden tweet: Joe Biden posted a tweet saying “Folks, this is what Bidenomics in action looks like,” along with a graph allegedly showing the jobs created by Biden in comparison to previous presidents in the first 30 months of their presidencies. The graph showed Biden as having created the most jobs by a huge margin. Twitter added a Community Note warning label to the post that read: “The 13.373M jobs total is factually correct but missing important context. The July 2023 figure is 3.971M higher than the February 2020 peak of employment before COVID-19 forced massive layoffs. It’s more accurate to say 9.402M jobs have been recovered and 3.971M created." The added context additionally includes links to information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
