Facebook blocks a meme criticizing the CDC: Jeff Mixon is the admin for a Facebook group called North Carolina Conservatives. One of his group members submitted a meme that called the CDC a vaccine company. According to screenshots of his Facebook account, when Mixon attempted to approve the meme, Facebook labelled the post with a warning that claimed it contained "false information." Facebook also warned Mixon that approving the post would mean "your account and group might have new restrictions." Mixon took a screenshot of the meme and the warning label and attempted to post it himself. Facebook blocked the post but did not explain why. Mixon created a separate post in his group, explaining, "I would like to be transparent with the members of this group. This post is clearly an opinion. However, the censors at Fakebook have threatened this group if the full meme is displayed. There can be no commentary or free speech on this platform. Don't think for a minute that your constitutional rights matter to Facebook or it's employees. If you would like to see the full meme, PM me." Facebook allowed this post to remain but did not reinstate the blocked post.
