Facebook throttles Grabien's traffic after it released a report slamming the social media platform for election interference: Grabien is a digital service that provides a range of tools for media and communications professionals. The company also creates its own original reporting, which is what Grabien says has caused Facebook to throttle its visibility. Grabien reported on a dramatic reduction of its Facebook traffic, which took place after it released a report about Twitter and Facebook's censorship of the NY Post's Hunter Biden exposé. In the report, Grabien notes that this isn't the first time Facebook has gone after their traffic following criticism from Grabien. Earlier this year one of Facebook's fact-checkers labeled a Grabien News post as "false infromation." The post was about Bernie Sanders saying illegal immigrants are "entitled" to the same government benefits as citizens. Facebook instructed Grabien to change Sanders' quote so it would better reflect the fact-check, basically asking Grabien to create fake news so that Facebook wouldn't be flagging real news as fake. After Grabien went public with what happened the organization's founder, Tom Elliot, reported on Twitter that Facebook had extinguished Grabien's traffic to "near-zero." Elliot used images of data analytics to prove his point, which are also present in Grabien's latest report about Facebook's backlash.
