Facebook puts “missing context” fact check label on post: On March 10, Fox News host Tucker Carlson shared a clip of Russell Brand talking on Carlson’s show about spirituality with the quote, “I've been blessed with a very practical spirituality, like many desperate people. I need spirituality. I need God or I cannot cope in this world. I need to believe in the best in people.” The unverified Twitter account GQPow, or @Gary34079314, replied, “Facebook censored my post on this subject. Totalitarians.” GQPow including a screenshot of his March 10 Facebook notice, which said, “Independent fact-checkers reviewed the video and said it was missing context and could mislead people.” So, Facebook said, “We added a notice to your post.” The video GQPow posted on Facebook March 9, based on the screenshot, included the text, “If You Care At All About the Truth If You Hate Liars Watch Every Minute of This.”
