X community adds a context note to Gabor Gurbacs's post: X user Gabor Gurbacs posted an infographic featuring Senator Elizabeth Warren with the following statistics: "Net Worth: $67 Million. Salary: $285,000 USD. Monthly Income: $400,000 USD. Date of Birth: June 22, 1949. Age: 73 Yrs. Height: 5 ft 7 in (1.73 m). Profession: US Senator. Nationality: American." He added the following commentary to his post: "$285k salary, $67mm net worth. What's the math on this?" The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. According to public records Elizabeth Warren has a net worth of $4,880,024 to $11,075,002. opensecrets.org/members-of-con…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
