YouTube deletes video journalist's footage of crowd reacting to Trump's Jan. 6 speech: YouTube deleted footage capturing the crowd's reaction to then-President Donald Trump's Jan 6. speech, ahead of the chaos that ensued at the capitol, uploaded by Ford Fischer's News2Share. "Trump has been impeached and is expected to face trial for 'inciting insurrection.'," tweeted Fischer. "This video shows the people whose insurrection he allegedly incited, at the precise moment he allegedly incited it. Quite literally, Youtube is deleting evidence." Fischer called his video's removal "one of the most absurd" he had ever experienced. YouTube's notice to Fischer told him it's against the platform's rules to post content that "advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the U.S. 2020 presidential election." Fischer argued the footage could be evidence in Trump's possible impeachment. His appeal to get the video put back up was denied by YouTube who reaffirmed that it was in violation of the platform's spam, deceptive practices and scams policy.
