Facebook fact-checks user for picture about pedophiles: Facebook user Fidelis Vigil posted an image which showed a poster of a rainbow flag with the silhouettes of a man and a child which had as the caption: "Pedophiles are people too. Because love is love," attached to a pole. Facebook added a notice to the post which read: "False information. The same information was checked in another post by independent fact-checkers." Facebook added that "Facebook determined [the user's] post has the same false photo [as the one that had been fact-checked] and added a notice to the post." The image was rated "Mixture" on Snopes, because while "A sign reading "Pedophiles are People Too" was briefly posted on a telephone pole near a school in Oregon," "The sign has no apparent connection with a genuine attempt to integrate pedophiles into the LGBTQ community or to "normalize" pedophilia."
