X community adds a context note to Clay Travis's post: Political commentator Clay Travis posted "Georgia’s two Democrat senators are still wearing masks. Today. In 2024. Beyond embarrassing." The post included a post from Jan. 20, 2024 from Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff's official X account that included a photo of he and the other Georgia Senator, both wearing masks, with text reading "3 years of delivering for Georgia." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. This photo is from 2021 when they were being sworn in. x.com/ossoff/status/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
