X community adds a context note to Lara Logan post: Lara Logan posted a lengthy narrative that began by claiming her post was based on "Multiple intel sources," and detailed a theory that the container ship that hit the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, resulting in the bridge's collapse, was an "[a]ttack perfectly targeted." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. The post claims there should have been a harbor pilot on board. Reliable news sources say there were, in fact, two pilots on board. reuters.com/world/us/why-d…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later. The note was later removed.
