Instagram covers video of a jet taking off with a sensitive content filter: An Instagram account known as combat_learjet posted a video captioned as "2022 RCAF CF-18 Hornet Demo Team torches the runway with authority on takeoff for the dirty roll at London (Canada) International Airport (CYXU), on September 9, during the 2022 edition of Airshow London SkyDrive’s “Hour of Power” twilight display." The video indeed simply shows a jet taking off and conducting a roll. Instagram placed a sensitive content interstitial over the video that claimed "Sensitive Content. This video may contain graphic or violent content." If a user clicks on the "See Why" link, it explains that Instagram uses "technology or a review team to identify content that should be covered. This post doesn't go against our Community Standards, but may contain images that some people might find upsetting. We cover graphic content so people can choose whether to see it." Users must click on the "See reel" link in order to view the video. According to Facebook, Instagram's sister-company, users fail to click through similar interstitials 95% of the time. It is unclear why Instagram applied the filter, but after three months it was still in place.
