Twitter community adds a context note to CNN tweet: CNN tweeted, “The planet saw its hottest day ever this week. The record will be broken again and again,” along with a link to one of its articles. Twitter added a warning label to the post. The header of the label says, “Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The warning continues, “The temperature is the hottest recorded since 1979. The claim relies upon information from the US National Centers for Environmental Prediction whose data goes back to 1979.” It also links to the same CNN article.
