Facebook temporarily blocks Terrence Williams: Comedian Terrence K Williams posted a purported screenshot featuring his account, a post he had attempted to share, and a warning label from Facebook. The warning says, “This feature is temporarily blocked. You recently posted something that violates Facebook policies, so you’re temporarily blocked from using this feature. For more information, visit the Help Center. To keep from getting blocked again, please make sure you’ve read and understand Facebook’s Community Standards. The block will be active for 19 hours or more.” The Facebook Community Standards are allegedly meant to prohibit content such as “violence and incitement,” “hate speech,” and “violent and graphic content” that could endanger users. It is unclear what specific content Williams had attempted to share. In the caption of the photo, he says, “I was blocked for 19 hours on Facebook because I made fun of Stacey Abrahams [sic] and Whoopi Goldberg. I’m not allowed to be a comedian on here.” It appears that Williams tried to share one of his own posts which other users had shared. Most of the actual content of the post, however, is obscured by the warning label in the screenshot provided. Williams seems to have regained his ability to post, after the temporary ban ended.
