Facebook fact-checks MRC Free Speech America's Catherine Salgado: Facebook slapped a fact-check on an article written and shared by MRC Free Speech America staff writer Catherine Salgado. The article covered Twitter's censorship of Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo after he recommended young men not get mRNA COVID-19 vaccines based on a new analysis. Facebook notified Salgado that it had applied a label to her post because "Independent fact-checkers reviewed the information and said it was missing context and could mislead people." The platform also linked to a fact-check by Health Feedback. Users attempting to share the story on Facebook were presented with a notice alerting them that the story was "Missing Context" and requiring another click to move ahead with sharing the story. Facebook did not respond to MRC Free Speech America's request for comment.
