Twitter suspends Emma Woodhouse for quoting the Wall Street Journal: Twitter suspended a Substack blogger who writes under the pseudonym "Emma Woodhouse" for quoting a Wall Street Journal OpEd that was very critical of the Biden administration's COVID-19 measures for children. "'The FDA conspicuously lowered its standards to approve Covid vaccines for toddlers. Why," she tweeted, according to screenshots she posted to her Substack newsletter. Woodhouse quoted an article written by WSJ Editorial Board member Allysia Finley titled "Why the Rush for Toddler Vaccines?" and as she pointed out in her newsletter, other users quoted equally damning parts of the OpEd without having their accounts suspended. Screenshots indicate that Twitter "permanently suspended" her account for allegedly "Violating [Twitter's] policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." Woodhouse appealed and is awaiting a response from the platform. Twitter had not responded to a request for comment by the time of publication.
