Twitter restricts Senate candidate Eric Greitens' 'RINO Hunting' campaign ad: Twitter applied a label to Missouri senate candidate Eric Greitens' recent campaign ad. In the video, Greitens is seen holding a gun and saying he is hunting RINOs, or Republicans In Name Only. "Join the MAGA crew. Get a RINO hunting permit," Greitens said in the video, "There's no bagging limit, no tagging limit and it doesn't expire until we save our country." Twitter flagged the tweet as violating its rules about "abusive behavior." However, the platform did not remove the video because "it may be in the public's interest for the Tweet to remain accessible." According to Twitter, "placing a Tweet behind this notice also limits the ability to engage with the Tweet through likes, Retweets, or sharing on Twitter, and makes sure the Tweet isn't algorithmically recommended by Twitter. These actions are meant to limit the Tweet’s reach while maintaining the public’s ability to view and discuss it." Twitter also placed a sensitive content filter over the video, requiring users who had not turned off the sensitive content filter on their account to click through a notice in order to view the video.
