Twitter deleted a tweet by journalist Holly Hansen when she quoted a doctor promoting Ivermectin: Holly Hansen, a freelance writer for The Texan, tweeted a quote of Dr. Paul Marik. According to a screenshot tweeted by BreatheMD, "Dr [sic] Marik said, 'there have been 'a thousand times more deaths' related to COVID-19 vaccinations over the past year and a half than Ivermectin related deaths over the last 25 years.'" The screenshot also shows that Twitter removed the tweet and locked Hansen's account for "[v]iolating the policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." The platform explained that "[u]nder this policy, [it] require[s] the removal of content that may pose a risk to people's health including content that goes directly against guidance from authoritative sources of global and local public health information."
