Facebook limits monetization on Babylon Bee video making fun of stringent gun laws: Satirical news site The Babylon Bee posted a video called "Murderer Undecided On Whether He'll Follow New Gun Laws," which made fun of the fact that gun laws do not stop lawbreakers from breaking the law. The video illustrated the point with a fictional interview with a murderer commenting on the effect that gun laws might have on him. "The only silver lining is this: I have never actually purchased a gun through a gun dealer. I just steal all of my murder weapons," said the fictional murderer. The video ended with the man explaining why the laws will not really affect him at all. "[I]n the end while I'm still a little frustrated that these gun laws will be a minor inconvenience for murderous psychopaths like myself, I am grateful that they ultimately won't do anything to stop me from killing. And hopefully, if there are a few less good guys with guns out there, it could even make my job easier." Facebook made the video's monetization limited "due to one or more policy violations," according to a screenshot tweeted by the Bee's CEO Seth Dillon. Dillon also said that the satire outlet has "earned only $153 from [its] videos on Facebook this month--Despite having an audience of 1 million people..." The Babylon Bee is a member of MRC's Free Speech Alliance.
