Facebook removed posts of a Thomas Paine quote for alleged "misinformation": YouTube creator Matt Orfalea responded to another censored user's tweet with screenshots showing that Facebook removed an image and quote of Thomas Paine from his timeline. The quote read, "He who dares not offend cannot be honest." According to a screenshot Orfalea tweeted, Facebook removed the tweet and restricted his account for 24 hours due to "misinformation about vaccines." Facebook did not provide a fact check article as evidence of "vaccine misinformation." A few other Facebook users replied to the same tweet with screenshots of their own showing they experienced the same phenomenon. It is unclear exactly why the posts were removed, however it may have been an algorithm error.
