LinkedIn disabled climate scientist Gregory Wrightstone allegedly because of his controversial scientific opinions: Gregory Wrightstone, a geologist, Executive Director of the CO2 Coalition and reviewer for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, often posted information on LinkedIn that disputed the popular theory of what he described as "man-made catastrophic warming." Wrightstone told the Daily Signal that he previously posted information from NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). He said that he repeatedly posted content that disputed popular climate change theories and that eventually LinkedIn flagged his content as "false and misleading." Wrightstone said he created a post that read "I think I’m going to be deplatformed," and that LinkedIn removed the post and rejected his appeal. He posted on Facebook that in his appeal he "promised to 'only post factually correct information.'" LinkedIn emailed Wrightstone claiming that it  "will be maintaining [its] original decision" and that "access to the account will remain restricted," according to a screenshot Wrightstone posted on Facebook. The screenshot also showed LinkedIn's explanation for its restrictions which claim that it "require[s] all members to engage in a professional manner and [that] type of content is not allowed,"
