Twitter slapped a warning label and reduced engagement capabilities on a video of a doctor contradicting CDC guidance on COVID-19 in a school board meeting: Sebastian Gorka shared a video of Dr. Dan Stock, a self-described "functional family medicine physician," who spoke at a Mt. Vernon school board meeting in Indiana. He said in the meeting that, according to the scientific literature he recommends, masks and vaccines do not reduce the spread of COVID-19 due to factors like the tiny size of virus' aerosol particles, its ability to infect animals, and what he called antibody-mediated viral enhancement caused by vaccines. Twitter placed a warning label on the tweet, calling it "misleading" and referring users to tweets from the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and other local health authorities. The platform also does not allow users to reply to the tweet or like the tweet, and it reiterates that Twitter has labeled the tweet as misleading when users attempt to retweet the video, only allowing it be be quote tweeted.
