Twitter restricts account of BlazeTV host Dave Rubin over tweet about vaccine efficacy, Later admits it was done in 'error': Twitter reportedly locked the account of political commentator Dave Rubin, after he tweeted his opinion about COVID-19 vaccines. Shortly thereafter Rubin posted a screenshot of a notice that he purportedly received from Twitter admitting it had "made an error" in restricting his account and had restored it. "They want a federal vaccine mandate for vaccines which are clearly not working as promised just weeks ago. People are getting and transmitting Covid despite vax. Plus now they're prepping us for booster shots," Rubin's still-deleted tweet said. "A sane society would take a pause. We do not live in a sane society." In its initial notice to Rubin, Twitter indicated that his tweet violated its "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." The platform forced Rubin to delete his tweet and wait 12 hours before he could regain the full functionality of his account, according to the notice Rubin reportedly received from Twitter and later shared screenshots of on his account. Users are unable to preform certain critical actions on the platform when their account gets restricted, including posting new content and interacting with other users' content. The only actions able to be preformed by a restricted account include browsing the platform and sending direct messages to followers.
