Instagram users forced to delete meme that included headline from satirical article about Fauci's emails: Numerous Instagram users had their posts that contained a meme poking fun at Dr. Anthony Fauci fact-checked. Typically, when a post is fact-checked Instagram (or Facebook) allows it to stay on the platform but attaches a warning, hides it behind an interstitial, and suppresses its reach by up to 95%, according to Reclaim The Net. However, this time Instagram forced users to delete the post and did not allow them to appeal the platform's actions. The meme included a picture of a headline from satirical news site Genesius Times, which read "Fauci now recommends face masks over your eyes so you can't read his leaked emails."
