Twitter locks account of U.S. Senate candidate from Ohio: Josh Mandel, a former Ohio state representative and now-candidate for U.S. Senate, was suspended from Twitter for 12-hours, according to USA Today. "You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease," read a notice from Twitter sent to Mandel. "As a result, we've temporarily limited some of your account features. While in this state, you can still browse Twitter, but you're limited to only sending Direct Messages to your followers -- no Tweets, Retweets, follows, or likes." The tweet from Mandel in question included a poll asking which type of border crossers would commit more crimes, "Muslim Terrorists" or "Mexican Gangbangers." Twitter said it violated the platform's "hateful conduct" rules. "Just like President Trump, I was canceled by @twitter @jack yesterday," said Mandel in a tweet containing an interview of him responding to his suspension. "I wear this as a badge of honor as Big Tech thugs & elites target those who they are most afraid of. Our movement of steel-spined Constitutional Conservatives & Trump Warriors will not be silenced."
