Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene locked out of account for 12 hours: The newly elected congresswoman from Georgia (GA) was locked out of her Twitter account for 12 hours, blocking her ability to tweet, retweet or "like" other user's tweets. The short suspension was the result of repeated violations of Twitter's civic integrity policy, according to what a Twitter spokesperson told NPR. Greene's last tweet before getting locked out included a video in which she repeated claims of voter fraud and criticized elected leaders in Georgia for failing to act on such accusations ahead of the Senate runoff races — blaming Republican's electoral defeat in GA on that inaction. Greene's tweet was tagged with Twitter's newest civic integrity notice, preventing it from being replied to, retweeted or "liked," but still remaining visible on the congresswoman's profile. Throughout the time Greene's account was locked her profile was still visible, Green was just blocked from sharing new content or interacting with anyone else's. After returning to the platform Greene sent out a thread of tweets responding to the platform's decision to lock her out of her account. In it, Greene said that Twitter is "playing a very big role in the dangerous divide of Americans and violating people’s guaranteed right of free speech."
