Parler
Case #
1545

Amazon removes Twitter-alternative Parler from its cloud hosting service, effectively wiping it from the internet: Free Speech focused Parler was created to be an alternative to platform's like Twitter and Facebook, which have increasingly placed constraints on the content allowed to be discussed and posted by users. For the time being that alternative has been wiped from the internet because Amazon's cloud hosting service has decided to stop supporting the application. Parler CEO John Matze said the platform could be “unavailable on the Internet for up to a week" as it is forced to "rebuild from scratch," The Washington Post reported. Matze said in an interview on Fox News Channel that the move by Amazon threatens to potentially put Parler out of business. “This could destroy anybody,” he said, adding later that the company was scrambling to find hundreds of servers before Amazon’s deadline. “It’s an impossible feat that we’re going to handle as best we can to get back online as quickly as possible.”
