Facebook shuts down nonprofit that volunteers with charities at events by dressing up as movie characters: The Facebook page of Oathkeepers Causeplay, a nonprofit group that volunteers with charities at events by dressing up as movie characters, has been locked out of the platform for more than two months, according to The Federalist. Additionally, the group administrators of the page lost their personal accounts. One of them, a mother of eight, lost access to her son's memorial page, including the final message he ever sent to her. "His last message to me was on messenger and it is gone without any reason. No warning, no anything." Vinessa Olp, one of the group's founders told The Federalist. Facebook did not provide an explanation for the groups removal to either The Federalist, or the group itself. The organization's page was likely taken down due to the similarity of its name to a group often labeled as "right-wing" and "extremist," which was taken down as part of a Facebook sweep aimed at removing “anarchist groups that support violent acts amidst protests” such as QAnon.
