Twitter censors user for quoting Martin Luther King, Jr.: A Twitter user shared screenshots of their censorship notice. The user tweeted: "Rev Dr MLK 'I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizens Councillor or the Ku Klux Planner but the white moderate who is more devoted to Order than to Justice.'" Despite the fact that this is a direct quote from MLK, and noted as such, Twitter found it to violate its "rules against hateful conduct," upholding this determination after an appeal. The user was forced to delete the tweet in order to unlock their account.
