Twitter censors Judicial Watch's Tom Fitton for accurate tweet about results of Danish mask study: Judicial Watch's Tom Fitton took to Parler to report that Twitter had locked his account out for 12 hours after requiring him to delete an accurate tweet. The tweet said: "BREAKING: Massive Danish study further confirms masks don't work and may be dangerous. #ConstitutionOverCoronavirus." Fitton explained on Parler: "I've been locked out of Twitter for 12 hours for posting this accurate tweet on the efficacy of masks, which describes the results of the massive Danish study released today. They won't let me back in until I delete the offending and accurate tweet." Ironically, another similar tweet remains on his Twitter feed with no censorship yet. In it, he re-tweeted Andrew Bostom, who linked to the Danish study and posted a key point from it. Bostom's tweet reads: "Large Danish RCT N-4900 of masking for prevention of C19 infection FAILED, rather predictably (given influenza RCTs) with a non-significant & clinically IRRELEVANT “0.3%” absolute “risk reduction”. Published in preeminent internal medicine Ann Intern Med." The point from the study that he pulled out to include as an image states: "A total of 3030 participants were randomly assigned to the recommendation to wear masks, and 2994 were assigned to control; 4862 completed the study. Infection with SARS-CoV-2 occurred in 42 participants recommended to wear masks (1.8%) and 53 control participants (2.1). The between-group difference was -0.3 percentage point (95% CI, -1.2 to 0.4 percentage point; P-0.38) (odds ratio, 0.82 [CI, 0.54 to 1.23]; P=0.33). Multiple imputation accounting for loss to follow-up yielded similar results." Fitton's tweet that included Bostom's tweet read: "@CDCgov now has an obligation to withdraw its mask-wearing advice. @RealDonaldTrump #Science." It is unclear why this tweet was not censored yet Fitton's short summary tweet was.
