Twitter censors Grabien Media founder Tom Elliott for criticizing Andrew Cuomo's COVID-19 vaccine rollout plans: Tom Elliott, founder of Grabien Media, tweeted that Twitter had suspended him for a tweet. He said that he "criticized @NYGovCuomo for denying NYC's request to make vaccines available for senior citizens." The tweet responding to Cuomo's denial read: "@NYGovCuomo to NY's remaining seniors: Please just die already." Twitter claimed that this tweet violated its "rules against abuse and harassment," and forced him to delete the tweet in order to regain access to his account. Elliott reported that he appealed the censorship instead of deleting the tweet, though he did not expect that Twitter would "conduct the appeal process in good faith." He reported that "they later confirmed my suspicion and denied the appeal." The tweet that he was responding to read: "NY Gov Cuomo denied NYC's request to vaccinate people who are 75 and older, despite the fact the City has only used 25% of its Covid vaccine supply." It included a screenshot from a NY Times article detailing this situation, with Cuomo saying that "the problem was a local issue."
