X community adds a context note to Stephanie Lai post: Bloomberg's National Politics reporter Stephanie Lai posted the following: "Trump leaving Hotel Fort Des Moines, on caucus day, says 'we’ve won it twice as you know, I think we’re going to have a tremendous night tonight. The people are fantastic. I’ve never seen spirit like they have.' h/t @rachelvscott." The post included a short video of Trump expressing these words as he was exiting a hotel staircase. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Trump lost the Iowa caucus in 2016 by over 5,000 votes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Iowa…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
