Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA)
Case #
2617

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet about COVID vaccines given most restrictive warning label by Twitter: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tweeted her thoughts about the COVID vaccines. She opined: "The FDA should not approve the covid vaccines. There are too many reports of infection & spread of #COVID19 among vaccinated people. These vaccines are failing & do not reduce the spread of the virus & neither do masks. Vaccine mandates & passports violate individual freedoms." Twitter placed its most restrictive warning label on this tweet, labeling it "Misleading." The warning label continued, "Learn what health officials say about preventative measures and COVID-19. Find out more." The label linked to a Twitter curated page titled "Experts say masks are safe and effective in preventing spread of COVID-19." This page provided unattributed summaries of the referenced narrative, along with tweets supporting this narrative from leftist sources and government entities. In addition, Greene's tweet "can't be replied to, shared or liked." The tweet may be quote tweeted, however. This tweet, while not being deleted, reportedly also landed Greene a one-week account restriction
