Twitter censors all links to The Reload: Stephen Gutowski, founder of an independent, subscriber-supported publication focused on firearms called The Reload, reported that Twitter censored all links to The Reload. Any link clicked from Twitter to go to the site or one of its stories directly presented users instead with a message that said "Warning: this link may be unsafe." The message continued, "The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe." The message provided several reasons for this determination, among them that the site being linked to could be stealing user's information, could be "spammy links that mislead people or disrupt their experience," or that the landing site could contain "violent or misleading content that could lead to real-world harm." After Gutowski made several attempts to reach Twitter about the issue, links were no longer censored after less than a day.
