Twitter removed tweet calling Kyle Rittenhouse a hero and locked user's account for 12 hours: Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree murder after he killed two men and injured another purportedly in self-defense during one of the 2020 Antifa riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A user commented about Rittenhouse in reply to another user saying "[h]e's innocent AF and he deserves to be on Mount Rushmore. Kyle is a hero," according to a screenshot tweeted by the user. The screenshot also show that Twitter removed the tweet claiming that it violated its "rules against glorifying violence." The notice explains that Twitter prohibits "content that condones or celebrates acts of violence that could promote imitation of the act" and "glorifying the perpetrators of such violence." The user was forced to delete the tweet and "acknowledge that [its] tweet violated the Twitter Rules" in order to regain access to the account, according to the screenshot. The use also tweeted that the platform locked the his account for 12 hours.
