A user attempted to share a link to an article on Facebook from InfoWars' news site, newswars.com, about Amazon's new security camera drone that flies around inside your house. The article was unable to be shared to the platform. The user was given a notification after trying to share it that said the article violated Facebook's community standards. In 2019, Alex Jones, the founder of InfoWars, and InfoWars itself were both banned from Facebook and Instagram. The two have also been permanently banned from Twitter, YouTube, Spotify and Apple.
