Twitter suspends popular Mythinformed Milwaukee account for vague and true statement about anti-malarial drug: Mythinformed Milwaukee is a nonprofit organization whose stated goal is "promoting viewpoint diversity in the social and political landscape." According to purported screenshots shared by James Lindsay, the account was censored by Twitter for a tweet that read "Ivermectin saves lives." Given that Ivermectin is an extremely popular and effective anti-malarial, the statement, which does not reference COVID-19 at all, is completely accurate. However, Twitter, according to the purported screenshots, found the tweet violated its rules against "spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." The account was locked until the tweet was deleted. Additionally, the account was restricted to a read-only mode for twelve hours.
