X community adds a context note to Laura Loomer post: Political activist Laura Loomer posted "@RonDeSantis, the people of Florida are sick of having an ABSENTEE governor especially one who acts like a DICTATOR and unilaterally changes laws so that he can run for president while drawing a salary from the coffers of Florida taxpayers! We don't want your power hungry wife @CaseyDeSantis to run for governor either!" The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. DeSantis did not 'unilaterally' change the law. SB 7050 was passed by 69% of votes in the Florida House and 70% of votes in the Florida Senate. flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
