Reddit moderator bans user for belief in Austrian economics: A Reddit moderator banned u/HipsterTrudy from the subreddit r/badeconomics for 30 days after she apparently mentioned reading a book by foundational Austrian school economist, Carl Menger. In the mod comments for the ban the moderator claimed that the temporary ban was to "punish" the user for "having accidentally made the decision to believe in austrian economics and/or austrian economists [sic]." The moderator added, "such nonsense does not befit an economics forum." The 30-day ban prevents the user from posting or commenting on the r/badeconomics subreddit.
