X community adds a context note to Franciscan Health's post: Hospital group Franciscan Health posted "The rising trend in vaping among teens can have negative impacts on their health. Learn about the risks of vaping, why they've become popular among teens and how to help teens stay away from it. https://franciscanhealth.org/community/blog/why-vaping-is-dangerous-for-teens." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Youth vaping has declined by more than 60 percent since 2019. cdc.gov/media/releases…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
