Article from The Federalist discussing vote counting irregularities in the Midwest hit with multiple variations of civic integrity notices: A report from conservative digital media outlet The Federalist has garnered multiple variations of civic integrity notices on Twitter. Sometimes when the article is tweeted, usually by those with smaller followings, a clickable warning label is automatically attached to the tweet between the user's text and the article's social media interface. The label reads "Learn about US 2020 election security efforts," and when clicked on takes you straight to a readout of Twitter's civic integrity policy. When tweeted by users who have large followings the typical civic integrity notice that has been appearing since the election is present. Additionally, some instances of the article being tweeted show no notices attached to it. It is difficult to determine the possible algorithmic effects of these very new labels, but based on Twitter's own civic integrity policy posts that get hit with these labels are subject to Twitter reducing the visibility of the content, and/or preventing it from being recommended to others.
