X community adds a context note to End Wokeness post: Political account End Wokeness posted "The Biden administration is rolling out a redesigned U.S. passport. All the iconic American imagery is gone. The eagle, American flag, and "We The People" have been removed." The post included purported images of the old and new passport designs. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. The US began issuing next generation passports in 2021. travel.state.gov/content/travel… The eagle is still incorporated in the new design that was approved in 2020. oversight.gov/sites/default/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
