X community adds a context note to Elon Musk's post: X owner Elon Musk posted "Microsoft Word now scolds you if you use words that aren’t 'inclusive'!" The post included a screenshot showing that the word "insane" had been flagged by Word when used as an adjective to describe "stability," with a warning that read "Inclusiveness. This term implies mental health bias. No Suggestions Available." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. This feature has been available in Microsoft Word since at least 2020 and has to be turned on manually. howtogeek.com/677694/how-to-…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
